Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Manager - Contracts, reporting directly to HOD Contract Management to join our Contract Management team based in Gandhinagar.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below.
Post-award Contract management activities for Prime Contracts throughout lifecycle of Project by acting as a key member of Project(s) Team and pursuing a commercially focused and pro-active Contract and Claim Management culture
Function as a business partner for Project directors/ managers and advise them on setting up contract strategy and ensure contract management and strategy is enforced all along projects
Development of internal contract deliverables like Contract Summary, Notices List, Actions List, Flow-down provisions for Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, etc., and apprising/ sensitizing Project Team members regarding contractual obligations, rights and entitlements.
Initiate, draft and/or review, as the case may be, all incoming and outgoing correspondence with Clients and Partners for matters related to T.ENs liabilities, risks and contractual rights, and also render support in making correspondence to subcontractors and vendors.
Manage relations with external partners (Clients, partners (JV or CS), external experts etc.) and internal stakeholders (departments/project managers involved in the projects, manage and engage team)
Responsible for the development and management of appropriate mechanisms to monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Responsible for the management and identification of Contract claims as they develop and manage the timely resolution under the relevant contract provisions wherever possible, obtaining claims and legal expertise as appropriate.
Assist the Project Directors/ Managers in analyzing and tackling project financial issues and follow-up the client progress payment and billings to ensure compliance with contract terms and requirements
Initiate and coordinate the preparation, negotiation and settlement of change orders and claims, EOT, acceleration, disruption, etc.
Assist the subcontracting and procurement teams in handling critical matters pertaining to major change orders and claims of subcontractors and vendors.
Monitor and analyze issues when they arise and deal with them, anticipate risks and grasp opportunities
Analyzes and highlights areas of risk such as ambiguities, conflicts or deviations from the Contract. As work proceeds, make recommendations to the Project Management Team on the mitigation of these risks; closely monitor and support remedial actions and recommend appropriate tradeoffs.
Draft amendments, reviews/qualifies contractual agreements
Support proposal team on pre-award contractual matters
Supporting acquisitions/ maintaining Project-based insurances and Bank Guarantees, and also assist in preparing and pursuing Insurance claims
Team management, guidance and development to effectively resolve change events, claims and disputes fairly including coordination with Legal as may be required
Plans and directs the orderly close out of contracts operations .
Mentoring newly assigned Contracts personnel to the requirements and procedures of the corporate, global business unit, project, and client. Monitors personnel to ensure they receive appropriate training and development.

Main skills:
Experience of handing Contract Management for Projects of EPC LSTK, consortium, JV or hybrid, EPCM, PMC nature, and simultaneous handling of multiple projects, in an autonomous manner.
Versed with delay analysis techniques, and Extension of Time claims.
Conversant with costing methodologies and Change Orders.
Sound commercial awareness, and acumen.
Profound conceptual understanding and mastery of contract and claim management, capacity to challenge.
Excellent communication, verbal and written, and drafting skills.
Excellent influential skills, capacity to motivate, engage and change behavior.
Strong general management and Project management skills.
High level of integrity and ethics.
Strong time management skills and ability to manage self and/or teams delivery commitments with professional and positive attitude.
High level of conflict resolution skills
Experience of Arbitration and/ or other dispute resolution mechanisms
Qualifications & Experience:
7 13 years of experience in Contract management of Projects related to sectors like Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals/ Fertilizers/ Energy transition B.E/ B. Tech from a reputed Institute/ recognized university
Certification in Contract Management.
MBA or degree in law.
