Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
Summary: As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of quality engineers, guiding them through the complexities of multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration.
This role requires deep expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, and AWS cloud services to ensure a seamless transition and future scalability. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications, while also developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies that align with business objectives.
You will focus on applying your knowledge of quality processes and methodologies to enhance the overall application lifecycle, ensuring that quality is embedded at every stage of development. Roles &
Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate training and mentoring for junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement advanced indexing, partitioning, and query optimization for large datasets.
- Collaborate with application teams (.NET, ReactJS) for seamless integration.
- Conduct performance tuning and query optimization.
- Implement robust security measures including encryption, access control, and auditing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues proactively.
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies using AWS services.
- Optimize cost and performance leveraging AWS features (e.g., IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
- Work closely with architects, developers, and DevOps teams.
- Document migration steps, best practices, and operational guidelines.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL.-
Strong understanding of database management and optimization techniques.
- Experience with automated testing tools, frameworks and with performance tuning and query optimization, and in Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration (including tools like AWS DMS, ora2pg).
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform testing strategies and to Develop and maintain complex PL/pgSQL functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their application in quality engineering , and with .NET and ReactJS integration is a plus.
- Proficiency in AWS services (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation).- Strong understanding of data modeling and normalization.
- Should have Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.- Ability to Configure and manage PostgreSQL on AWS (RDS/Aurora).
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 10+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database design and development.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
