About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco networking technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Level 2 support, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for enterprise network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco switches, routers, wireless controllers, and security solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex network and routing issues using tools such as ping, traceroute, mtr, packet captures, and log analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints related to network outages or performance degradation.
- Perform routine network maintenance, including firmware upgrades, patching, configuration updates, and health checks.
- Ensure all tickets and network incidents are resolved within defined SLA timelines.
- Adhere to ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
Required Technical Skills
Relevant experience and solid expertise in:
- Networking & routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, SDWAN
- Cisco Catalyst Center
- Cisco LAN Switches (Access + Core)
- Cisco Wireless Controllers (WLC)
- Cisco Access Points
- Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
Good to have experience with:
- FortiGate Firewall
- FortiAnalyzer
- FortiManager
Desired Candidate Profile
- 10 to 20 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
- Strong expertise in Cisco Catalyst switches and routers.
- B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree from a recognized university (any specialization).
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals:
- OSPF, QoS, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, High Availability, and Security best practices.
- Experience in advanced troubleshooting in secured enterprise network environments.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
- CCNP or CCIE certification is mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a 247 rotational shift environment (including night shifts).
