- Job Title: Purchase Manager - Procurement
- Experience: 10-18 Years
- Salary: 10 to 12 LPA
- Location: Mumbai - Andheri West
- Qualification: Any Graduate
- Working Day: 6 Days
- Office Timing: 8.00 AM To 5.00 PM
CANDIDATE WHO CAN JOIN IMMEDIATE OR 15 DAYS
- Industry Preference: FMCG or FMCG/ Retail/Export Import
- Skills: Advanced Excel, International Purchase, Sourcing/Buying for Imports/Exports, FMCG/Food Product Procurement
- Strong knowledge of International Trade and Incoterms
- Experience in sourcing Staple commodities Rice and FMCG products such as Confectionery and Biscuits
- Ability to handle vendor negotiations and supplier coordination
- Understanding of import/export documentation and trade compliance
Requirements:
- Total experience should be 10+ yrs in handling a similar role in an International Import-Export organization/function with major business dealings with China, Europe and Far East countries. Experience in FMCG/FMCD/Food and commodities trade Industry would be preferred.
- Bachelors degree in any stream is a must.
- Diploma/Certification in Purchase Management/Supply Chain management/ International Trade will be an added preference.
- Exposure in Asian/Far East/ Europe/ Middle East countries is a must.
- Quantum handled per month should be a minimum of 150-200 container loads with 4000-5000 SKUs handled or more. Should have handled atleast 10 suppliers and customers across the transactions.
- Should be well versed using ERP software for running the purchase function. We use Axpert software.
Primary Responsibilities:
- To manage and lead all purchase-related functions like Inquiry Receipt, Vendor Management, Contract Negotiation & Closure, Sampling and QC Check, White Labels, Designing Labels-NPD, etc. through ERP.
- Source suitable international suppliers/vendors/manufacturers from China, Europe and Far East countries around the world. These suppliers could be for products ranging from FMCG, FMCD, Food, Furniture to any other commodity as demanded by the customer.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for confectionery, food, kitchenware, and electronics
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/manufacturers from China, Europe, Far
- East for FMCG/FMCD/Food/Commodities based on business needs.
- Initiate, oversee, and negotiate supplier contracts for long-term relationships, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliable supplies.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive cost reduction strategies.
- Managed full procurement lifecycle including RFQs, purchase orders, sampling, QC checks, contract finalization, and logistics coordination via ERP (Axpert).
- Raise, review, and approve purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications, quantity, price, and compliance requirements.
- Track shipments, payments, and ensure timely supplier communication.
- Liaise with partners/customers and logistics for smooth international operations and export shipment dispatch.
- Ensured regulatory and documentation compliance for international shipments, including product labeling, custom clearance, and export registration across multiple markets.
- Identify and develop new product lines and suppliers based on market feedback and comparative analysis of samples
- Initiated white/private label programs and sourced new product lines based on market feedback and trend analysis.
- Led price negotiations, MOQ finalization, Incoterms selection, and landed cost analysis to protect margins and enhance profitability.
- Collaborated with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Quality teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
