As Lead MySQL DBA, you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and scaling ShopClues.com production databases, implement sharding, clustering, load balancing to deliver world class scalability, performance and reliability. You will be working with engineers, architects, infrastructure teams, testing teams and senior management.
An ideal candidate will possess following:1. 2 years of experience supporting MySQL (version higher than 5.1) on Linux.2. Ability to work with others groups to design and implement distributed MySQL architecture that will support performance and scalability needs. 3. Actively administered several production MySQL servers in a high-traffic and distributed OLTP environment, with a mix of masters and slaves replication. 4. Strong knowledge and experiences in setting up and administering MySQL replication. 5. Strong knowledge of MySQL backup, recovery and upgrade procedures. 6. Help identify slow queries and suggesting alternatives.7. Basic knowledge of MySQL performance tuning at the MySQL server configuration level as well as SQL tuning. 8. Have written moderately complex Linux/Unix shell scripts utilizing bult-in shell variables, regular expressions, conditional expressions, functions. 9. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix tools.10. Engineering Graduate or Equivalent Qualification.11. Experience setting up and managing No-SQL databases like MongoDB is plus.12. Experience with MySQL monitoring tools is plus.
