Job Description
- Manage and monitor system infrastructure including servers, networks, and firewalls.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory for users, groups, and domain management.
- Perform and verify backups, ensuring quick data recovery when required.
- Troubleshoot networking issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
- Configure and maintain hardware and software firewalls for secure access.
- Ensure uptime and performance of servers including file, web, and database servers.
- Provide technical support for login issues, access permissions, printers, and end-user systems.
- Resolve system incidents such as low disk space, network failures, and hardware breakdowns.
- Maintain system security through antivirus, patches, and updates.
- Document IT processes, issues, and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing.
What do we expect
- Strong knowledge of hardware vs. software, RAM vs. ROM, and operating systems (Windows/Linux/macOS).
- Understanding of IP addressing (IPv4 & IPv6), DNS, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on with Active Directory, user/group management, and account troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of backup types (full and incremental) and data restoration methods.
- Clear understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ability to manage different server types and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- handling login failures, folder access, internet downtime, and system errors.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues in simple terms and handle user frustrations empathetically.
- Willingness to continuously learn and grow in IT support and administration.
