Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Data Governance SME to be part of our upcoming data 2026 data initiatives.
- This role requires deep experience in implementing enterprise level modernization programs, strategic initiatives in Data Governance, Catalog space & Data Quality.
Experience and Skillset
- 10-12+ years of experience in data management Data Engineering, Data Integration, Business intelligence, with a strong focus and expertise in data governance and data cataloging, data observability, Data Quality
- In-depth understanding of data governance principles & frameworks, compliance needs and best practices. Propose and implement improvements to data governance processes and tools
- Proven experience in defining and implementing data policies, standards, and processes in modern cloud platforms and BI applications, with good understanding of concepts policy authoring, authentication and authorization
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with modern enterprise data catalog platforms, specifically Atlan (preferred) or Alation, AWS Glue, Unity Catalog, Apache Polaris (preferred), Data Hub
- Strong understanding of metadata management concepts, data lineage, and data quality, data observability with real-time implementation experience in tools like Monte Carlo, Dynatrace
- Good understanding with diversified data platforms and technologies
- Data lakes, data warehouses, SQL databases, NoSQL databases
- Open table formats Iceberg (Preferred), Delta, Hudi
- Cloud platforms like GCP (Preferred), AWS, Azure
- Modern data stack tools (Spark, Scala, Pyspark/Databricks etc) and/or traditional ETL tools Informatica BDM with deep understanding of ELT, ETL Concepts
- Data orchestration tools (Airflow, Control-M etc) & BI Applications Tableau/PowerBI
- Experience (or) Exposure in enabling trusted data for downstream for AI & Agentic AI applications and Machine Learning Models delivering actionable insights impacting efficiency.
- Understanding of Master data management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrate domain competency, Healthcare (preferred) with ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise business language.
- HC Compliance/Standards -
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
