Job Description

Videographer and Video Editor Service Provider Job Description

Location: Temporarily Remote


Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with the team to plan and create a video

- Scout, select, and reserve locations for shoot

- Discuss ideas with the team before filming

- Shoot and record video content, and ensure consistency in shots

- Communicate with people to ensure comfort, and ask relevant questions to build the story

- Splice raw film footage from the shoot and combine it with transitions, and other scenes to create a cohesive and impactful story

- Evaluate the edited footage to ensure it matches the story from the script and/or meets the narrative agenda of the stakeholders

- Combine visual footage with audio tracks, sound effects, and dialogues to produce convincing drama in the narration

- Ensure all edits and additions appear seamless and natural that help the story flow effectively in the finished video

- Basic knowledge on After Effects tool to create simple transitions and text animations


Qualities:

- Healthy understanding of the elements of storytelling

- Basic knowledge of aftereffects to create simple text animations, transitions, and lower thirds

- Sound knowledge of camera equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting of technical issues with the video camera

- Comprehend and uphold Deloitte brand style guidelines to produce work of a suitable style

- Follow and adhere to the team-specific project life cycle

- Ability to multitask, display effective time-management skills, and meet deadlines

- Detail-oriented individual with the proficiency to perform self-reviews and quality control

- Independent, self-starter and great team player

- Display professional demeanor with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal clients


Skills and Qualifications:

- 3-6 years of editing/storytelling/design experience for digital and social platforms

- Must have a strong portfolio to showcase rich experience

- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro and Audition)

- Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom is desired

- A bachelors degree


Note: Willing to relocate to the designated location after the pandemic
