Job Description
- You will be managing a million-dollar AWS cloud infrastructure while driving automation, modernization, and operational excellence across our platforms. This role gives you the opportunity to master key DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools, gaining hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible as you build scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud environments. You will also work on enhancing observability and performance by implementing APM and monitoring solutions such as New Relic, while strengthening our security posture through proactive vulnerability management, continuous compliance, and best-practice hardening across distributed systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong AWS expertise, especially with Amazon ECS, container deployments, and microservice architectures.
- Skilled in configuring and optimizing Apache/Nginx web servers with load balancing and SSL/TLS.
- Handson with Terraform for IaC, including modular provisioning and automated environment builds.
- Proficient in CI/CD using GitHub Actions and Jenkins for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Experienced with Ansible for configuration management, provisioning, and system hardening.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.
- Solid understanding of DevOps/SRE practices, automation, observability, and incident response.
- Experienced with New Relic and CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, APM, and alerting.
- Knowledgeable in vulnerability management, scanning, remediation, and compliance controls.
- Strong problemsolving abilities with excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, vendors, and cross functional groups to develop, coordinate, and deliver high quality solutions while effectively communicating and escalating issues as needed
- Write, review, and maintain documentation for platform management, improvements, and support.
- Implement and promote infrastructure management and deployment best practices, including code reviews, solution vetting, and adherence to various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Manage workload and projects independently to meet deadlines, resolve complex technical challenges with innovative approaches, and proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Oversee change management and incident response activities, including performing root cause analysis investigations and bug fixes as required.
