Job Description

Role Summary:


The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and driving sales performance across the assigned zone for term / health insurance products. The role involves leading a large sales team, ensuring portfolio growth, managing attrition and shrinkage, and leveraging strong regional and area-level market knowledge to achieve business targets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage end-to-end sales operations for Term / Health Insurance across the assigned zone
  • Handle and lead a large team of 70+ members, including Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Executives
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure consistent business growth
  • Develop and execute zonal sales strategies based on area and market knowledge
  • Ensure effective portfolio management, including customer retention and renewal strategies
  • Monitor and control shrinkage and attrition across the zone
  • Analyse sales performance, productivity, and conversion metrics through MIS and dashboards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and on-field support
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance guidelines, and sales processes
  • Identify training needs and enhance product knowledge related to Term & Health Insurance
  • Maintain strong coordination with regional and senior management teams

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline

  • The candidate must have experience in the B2C Sales process.
  • Proven experience in handling large teams (60+ members)
  • Strong area and regional market knowledge is mandatory
  • Hands-on experience in managing attrition, shrinkage, and portfolio performance
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment
