Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to be part of our Platform & Infrastructure organization
This org is responsible for building the foundational systems that drive Samsara's products
Our work includes areas such as data insights, reporting, enterprise management, integration capabilities, and foundational infrastructure such as container orchestration, data storage, real-time data ingestion, and GraphQL execution This role is Hybrid 3 days per week in the office

In this role, you will:
Work with product managers, staff engineers, and internal/external customers to architect, build, test, and deliver full stack features across front-end, back-end, and mobile Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of our applications Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutioning on some of the teams initiatives Help mentor, develop, and support other engineers on the team Maintain a regular feedback loop to allow for implementation iterations and making adjustments Champion, role model, and embed Samsaras cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Kotlin or similar frameworks Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions and mentor junior engineers An ideal candidate also has:
Expertise working with web services at massive scale deployed on hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP or Azure Is an expert in writing high-quality, performant, and maintainable code in a modern programming language Expertise working on large-scale enterprise software applications
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques or leveraging AI-driven tools to improve system reliability, developer productivity, or customer-facing features At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background
