Job Description
Job Summer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP BTP RAP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP's Restful Application Programming Model (RAP), ABAP development, and cloud extensibility. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and maintainable applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), leveraging both on-stack and side-by-side extensibility.
Role & responsibilities :
- 5.5 to 14 years of experience in SAP ABAP and RAP Framework
- Design and develop applications using SAP RAP Framework in Managed and Unmanaged scenarios
- Build and extend CDS Views, OData services, and apply annotations for UI and behavior modeling
- Implement business logic using ABAP and Entity Manipulation Language (EML)
- Work on On-stack and Side-by-side extensibility models within SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP
- Develop and deploy applications using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) or Visual Studio Code
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Ensure best practices in cloud-native development, performance optimization, and secure coding
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
- Support deployment and lifecycle management of applications on SAP BTP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with CDS Views, OData, Annotations, and EML
- Deep understanding of SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, and CAP/RAP models
- Experience with Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios
- Proficiency in SAP BAS, Visual Studio Code, and Git-based development workflows
- Knowledge of On-stack and Side-by-side extensibility approaches
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and DevOps practices in SAP BTP
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred candidate profile :
- SAP Certification in SAP BTP, ABAP RESTful Programming, or related areas
- Experience with Fiori Elements, UI5, and SAP Launchpad
- Exposure to integration scenarios with other SAP and non-SAP systems
