Job Description
Experience Required :
- 2-3 years experience in Application Engineering in CNC or Additive
- CNC machining (preferably 4-axis / 5-axis).
- Metal Additive Manufacturing such as DMLS, LMD, LENS, WAAM, or Hybrid systems.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, tooling, and machining cycles.
- Exposure to CAD/CAM tools and G-code programming. (Haas controls strongly preferred)
Key job responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on training for students, researchers, and faculty on CNC machining, Metal 3D Printing, and CNC Milling or Turning.
- Guide project students through design, process planning, and execution of academic/industry projects.
- Prepare training content, lab manuals, and workshop materials.
- Organize workshops, student batches, and technology awareness programs.
- Demonstrate machine capabilities and support basic application trials.
- Maintain COE machines, tools, and lab safety standards.
- Coordinate with institute faculty and industry partners for project and training activities.
Skill/Knowledge Required:
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining (3-axis / 5-axis) and basic G-code understanding.
- Familiarity with Metal 3D Printing (DED / LMD / Hybrid / DMLS basics).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX, or similar).
- Ability to train and guide students on technical projects.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and materials.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom-handling skills.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for machines and lab equipment
