Job Summary
The Workday Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom and standard reports and dashboards within Workday HCM and related modules. This role supports HR, Finance, and business leaders by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights to drive data-informed decision-making. The analyst will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and BIRT reports.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all reports and analytics.
Support Workday data audits and perform data validations to maintain system integrity.
Partner with the HRIS team to design and implement Workday security configurations related to reports and data access.
Create and maintain documentation for report specifications, data sources, and report logic.
Provide end-user training and support on Workday reporting capabilities and self-service analytics.
Monitor and troubleshoot report performance and data issues, escalating as needed.
Stay up-to-date with Workday releases and new reporting features, recommending enhancements to optimize reporting capabilities.
Support ad hoc reporting requests and ongoing data analytics initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
2 5 years of experience with Workday reporting and analytics.
Strong proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool).
Solid understanding of Workday HCM data structures and business processes.
Experience with Workday Security related to reporting and data access.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Workday Pro certification in Reporting or HCM.
Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Adaptive Planning.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for external analytics integration.
Prior experience supporting HR, Payroll, or Finance business functions.
