Automation Tester @ Horizontal Integration

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

3 to 8 Years of Relevant experience as an Automation Tester.

We are looking for skilled Test Automation Engineers with strong hands-on experience in modern testing frameworks and tools. Below are the detailed requirements:

1. Automation Expertise

- Proficient in Cypress or Playwright using JavaScript (Node.js) for end-to-end web application testing.

- Strong experience in API test automation through code (not Postman), leveraging Cypress or Playwright for deeper integration and control.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test scripts, suitable for SDET roles requiring hands-on coding is mandatory

2. Technical Proficiency

- Solid programming skills in JavaScript.

- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control systems for seamless integration and deployment.

- Experience in DevOps environments, including:

- Working with Docker images

- Configuring GitLab CI/CD

- Writing and managing YAML files

- Familiarity with test management tools like IBM Jazz, Quality Center, or similar platforms.

3. Quality & Process Orientation

- Excellent communication and analytical skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving.

- Proven experience in testing web-based applications across diverse domains.

- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and modern software testing practices, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement.

• Strong coding skills (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.)
• Test automation expertise (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
• API and backend testing
• Performance and NFR testing
• CI/CD and DevOps integration
• Active participation in Agile development cycles
