Job Description:

Minimum 9+ years work experience as Database Administrator in MSSQL DBA support and worked in any other RDBMS platform such as Azure, Mysql, Sybase, Postgres (Secondary Skill)

Sound knowledge of SQL server architecture and concepts

Should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting DB performance issues.

Should have hands-on experience in planning, setup, configuring, troubleshooting DB HA/ DR technologies (Always-On, Failover cluster, Log shipping, Replication)

Experience in DB installation, upgrade, migration, patching, and other maintenance/ optimization tasks.

Hands-on experience in database design, database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management.

Experience in setting up Azure SQL databases in PaaS/ IaaS and migration of databases from on-prem to Azure, configure HA/ DR solutions in Azure.

Experience in Database standardization and Governance activities

Experience in scripting languages PowerShell, and Automation tools like Ansible is required.

Experience in SSIS and SSRS configuration, migration, troubleshooting.

Experience in handling external audits for databases and working with Auditors for data validation and fixes.

Experience in NoSQL databases is a plus.

Experience in database containerization is a plus.

Fix database security vulnerabilities and work closely with Information/Cyber security team.

Experience on ITIL process such as Incident, Service Request, Change and Problem management.

Must be willing to work on other RDBMS such as Mysql, Postgres. Required training and Knowledge transfer will be provided.
