Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 5+ YearsKey Responsibilities
Gain in-depth understanding of GE protection relays / IEDs and their functionality
Analyze requirements and user stories to create detailed test cases and test scripts
Design and execute functional, boundary, negative, regression, and UAT tests
Ensure requirements-to-test traceability
Own test execution within Agile sprint cycles
Identify, log, track, and prioritize defects using JIRA
Collaborate closely with development teams for timely defect resolution
Verify fixes and perform re-testing and regression testing
Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation
Work effectively with cross-functional and global teams Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in manual software testing
Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
Hands-on experience with test case design techniques
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Proficiency with JIRA & Confluence
Exposure to GUI automation and Python scripting
Basic knowledge of DLLs and programming languages (C++ / C#)
Understanding of communication interfaces: Serial, USB, Ethernet
Familiarity with protocols like IEC 60870-5-103 (CS-103) and DNP3
Experience testing applications on Windows 10 / Windows 11 (including non-English OS)
Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of IEC 61850 standard and tools like IED Scout
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts
Experience with Excel macros
Fundamental knowledge of:
Electronics & Electrical Engineering
Protection Systems & Substation Automation
SCADA systems Role & responsibilities
