Role & responsibilities
About the Role
Design and development of scalable backend systems using Java. Own architecture, coding, and operational excellence. Mentor engineers and drive best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build microservices and APIs using Java (17+), Spring Boot, and cloud platforms.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security of distributed systems.
- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product teams; convert complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and set coding standards.
Required Skills
- 812+ years in backend development; expert in Java, concurrency, and JVM internals.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST/gRPC, and microservices.
- Hands-on with databases, messaging, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Solid understanding of testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
Nice-to-Have
- Reactive programming (WebFlux, RxJava), observability tools, security best practices.
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
