Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business Our people make all the difference in our success Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our PTC MOVE team This role focuses on Oracle database performance tuning and administration, while contributing to solutions for warehouse management systems The ideal Candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience interacting with customers to resolve technical issues and provide guidance Key Responsibilities Administer and optimize Oracle databases for high performance and reliability Implement best practices for database design, tuning, and maintenance Collaborate with global teams to support PTC MOVE applications and warehouse management processes Customer Interaction: Work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and ensure timely resolution of problems Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system monitoring Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Oracle Database Expertise: Strong experience in performance tuning, administration, and best practices Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and deliver effective solutions PL/SQL: Proficiency in writing and optimizing PL/SQL queries and procedures Customer Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally to customers Nice-to-Have Skills Linux/Unix Administration: Familiarity with shell scripting and system commands Java & Tomcat: Basic understanding of Java applications and Tomcat server configuration Warehouse Management Systems: Exposure to WMS concepts and workflows Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 4+ years of experience in Oracle database administration and tuning Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a global team environment Life at PTC is about more than working with todays most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world Its about showing up as you are and working alongside some of todays most talented industry leaders to transform the world around you If you share our passion for problem-solving through innovation, youll likely become just as passionate about the PTC experience as we are Are you ready to explore your next career move with us?
