Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager-DevOps to lead and grow our DevOps function. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, and team leadership. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, operational oversight, and strategic planning, with strong focus on multi-cloud environments, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the management of Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Monitor and maintain key subsystems such as Keycloak, Elasticsearch, Istio, Kafka, Redis, microservices, Argo Workflows, and Flowable
- Lead incident management and response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime
Development & Automation
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate software deployment
- Manage infrastructure as code using Kustomize, Helm Charts, and other IaC tools for scalable and reproducible environments
- Develop automation scripts to optimize routine DevOps operations and improve efficiency
Strategic Planning
- Define and implement a multi-cloud strategy aligned with business objectives
- Monitor cloud utilization and implement cost optimization measures without impacting performance
- Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to ensure the organization stays ahead technologically
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and priorities
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder communication, providing updates on progress, risks, and improvement opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
- 12-15 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering with at least 4-5 years in a leadership role
- Proven expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Keycloak, Elasticsearch, Istio, Kafka, Redis, CI/CD, Argo Workflows, and Flowable
- Experience with IaC tools such as Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, or equivalent
- Solid scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
