 RTR Specialist / Senior Specialist - Contract

Job Description

The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, to ensure the core monthly/quarterly accounting functions are completed smoothly and on time.


The Accountant will be providing essential financial support by helping with reconciling activity across government scheme operations, creditor invoice processing, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure a smooth financial process.

GL Reconciliations


  • Balance sheet reconciliations for 2 entities
  • Suspense account reconciliation
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Casual Deduction reconciliation

PALM Reconciliation


  • Reconciliation of Candidate deductions for PALM Scheme clients
  • Person by person Payroll vs General Ledger reconciliations (PALM)
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between deduction and costs
  • Liaise with various departments to obtain necessary information for reconciliation purposes
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of reconciliation

Accounts Payable


  • Process Credit card transactions approx. 20 C Cards
  • Process Corporate traveller invoices
  • Process NIB invoices
  • Other Accounts payable activities as required

Accounts Receivable


  • Back up as
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Weekly Debtors report
    • Weekly Debtors follow up

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures

Auditing


  • Assist with annual auditing processes as needed and directed

Other responsibilities


  • Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by your manager from time to time.
