Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior DevOps Technical Project Manager to lead, plan, and execute complex DevOps initiatives and technical projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both technical project management and hands-on DevOps practices, coupled with extensive experience in cloud environments and agile methodologies. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to bridge the gap between technical teams, product management, and business objectives, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions. You will be responsible for driving DevOps adoption, optimizing workflows, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects align with strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution:

  • Lead the planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex technical projects, particularly those focused on DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budget management, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project dependencies, track progress against milestones, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Good hands-on in Excel PowerPoint

2. Process Improvement Governance:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within DevOps and project management practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and speed of delivery.
  • Establish and enforce standards, processes, and documentation for DevOps and project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud, and project management.

3. Stakeholder Management Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and communicating risks and issues effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Security, and Business units to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present project reports, metrics, and dashboards to senior leadership.
  • Establish and enforce standards, processes, and documentation for DevOps and project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud, and project management.

4. Process Improvement Governance:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within DevOps and project management practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and speed of delivery.
  • Establish and enforce standards, processes, and documentation for DevOps and project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud, and project management.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant subject.
  • Relevant certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or other Agile certifications, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer,
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, specifically leading complex DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Software Development projects.
  • Demonstrable experience managing projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Solid experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services.
  • Experience managing project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
