Job Description
Job Title: Senior AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman / CAD Engineer
Location: UAE (Dubai / Sharjah / Abu Dhabi)
Experience: 5-10 years
Industry: Construction / Engineering / Infrastructure / MEP
Interview Mode: Mandatory face-to-face interviews in Dubai (travel expenses covered by employer).
Relocation: Candidates must be open to relocating to UAE.
Notice Period: Immediate to 60 days preferred.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman / Engineer with 510 years of experience to produce high-quality technical drawings for construction and engineering projects. The candidate will play a key role in coordinating with engineers, consultants, and site teams while ensuring compliance with authority standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed AutoCAD drawings (shop drawings, as-built drawings, layouts)
- Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and site teams to resolve design issues
- Ensure drawings comply with UAE authority requirements (DM, DCD, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.)
- Lead drawing revisions based on site conditions and consultant feedback
- Maintain drawing standards, layers, and documentation control
- Support authority submissions and approvals
- Mentor junior draftsmen and review their work
- Ensure timely delivery of drawings as per project schedule
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engineering / Architecture / Drafting
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D (mandatory)
- Experience with shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Solid understanding of construction practices and UAE building codes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong coordination and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in MEP / Civil / Structural / Architectural drafting
- Knowledge of Revit / BIM is an advantage
- Site coordination experience
- Authority approval experience
