Job Description
Azure DevOps Engineer Responsibilities
- Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Establish and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers and IT professionals to streamline workflows and ensure seamless integration of applications.
- Monitor and Optimize Performance: Utilize monitoring tools to track application performance and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure or deployment pipelines.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.
Skills Needed
- Proficiency in Azure Services: Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, and networking.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is essential. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOp
- Connecting Azure Environment: Ensuring that the Azure environment is properly connected to Sysdig for monitoring and security management. This involves setting up the necessary permissions and roles within Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Azure RBAC
- CI/CD Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD for automating development processes.
- Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git or Azure Repos, for managing code changes.
- Scripting Skills: Strong skills in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating tasks and processes.
- Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Application Insights to ensure application performance and reliability.
