Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with a strong background in AS/400 RPG to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the AS/400 platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software applications using AS/400 RPG.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing applications to enhance functionality and performance.
- Maintain documentation for software development processes and application architecture.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to AS/400 and RPG development.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in AS/400 RPG programming.
- Manual Testing
- Proficient in database management and SQL.
- Experience with application development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or C#.
- Experience with web technologies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of system integration and APIs.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically with AS/400 RPG.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
