We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director - Finance (Record to Report) to work within our R2R function, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other technical accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit management, with proven experience in leading teams and delivering accurate and timely financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements under US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable).
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
Drive accounting for share-based payments, revenue recognition, business combinations, and financial instruments, including classification, measurement, and disclosures.
Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions, including investments and consolidation of entities.
Audit & Compliance
Manage and coordinate US GAAP audits, serving as the key liaison with external auditors (Big 4 or equivalent).
Provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with changes in US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations, ensuring timely implementation of new standards.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 finance professionals, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal, to support strategic initiatives and reporting requirements.
Partner with senior management on the accounting implications of key business transactions.
Skill & Experience Needed
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with strong exposure to US GAAP (mandatory) and IFRS (Good to have)
Must have handled US GAAP audits independently.
Big 4 experience (preferably in Financial Accounting Advisory Services / Technical Accounting) strongly preferred.
Proven experience in financial statement preparation, consolidation, and technical accounting advisory.
