Job Summary
The Infra. Technology Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing Control-M Scheduler and Batch Operations within a hybrid work model. With rotational shifts the specialist will ensure seamless operations and contribute to the companys technological advancements. The role requires 8 to 10 years of experience in relevant technical skills focusing on BMC Control-M Distributed Work.
Responsibilities
Experience in setup administration and customization options of BMC Control M Enterprise Manager Control M EM Control M Server Control M Agent Control M Control Modules Control M Forecast and BMC Batch Impact Manager Responsible to design architect and suggest new improvements in monitoring setup Job Scheduling Calendar setup Set up user security for scheduler tool and configure precisely new users
Participate and configure DR exercises and recovery options restore and install configure Fault tolerant High availability systems for Model and Production environments
Create monthly special usage reports and participate in SOX training for internal external audits
Writes directions for UNIX team and Windows Team to install new agents for said servers
Test and deploy new versions of scheduler tool to Model Developmental and Production environments using the approved change process
Deploy and test new tool patches in Developmental environment
Participate and translate in architecture design meetings to create expanded disaster recovery business continuity environment that supports the newly installed FTHA Fault Tolerant High Availability
Maintain all licenses and peculiar configurations for each license
Be able to accurately describe the problem to the scheduling tools 24X7 Hotline and to be able to start a Trouble ticket and interface with the vendor staff to discuss and explore the problem with the tool
Starting and stopping components and services
Control Shell functions Adding and removing components setting system parameters managing the Control M Enterprise Manager database
Extensive knowledge on Control M command line utilities
Manage environment security and authorizations
Analyze and resolve Control M system production problems and execute Control M utilities as required
Perform trend analysis on system performance recommend configuration changes and participate in the planning activities to schedule system
