Job Description
Job Role: Subject Matter Expert -Lease Accounting
Experience: 3- 6 Years into Lease Accounting
Work Location: Hyderabad
Academics: Bcom/ BBA/M com/ Mba.
Notice Period: 0 - 1month
Roles and responsibilities:
- Manage lease agreements including lease abstraction, classification, and accounting treatment.
- Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842, IFRS 16) and regulatory requirements.
- Perform lease accounting calculations such as straight-line rent, lease liability, and right-of use asset.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including real estate, legal, and operations to review lease terms and agreements.
- Prepare and analyze lease-related financial reports and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of lease accounting software and systems.
- Support internal and external audits related to lease accounting.
- Stay updated with changes in lease accounting standards and recommend process improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on lease accounting principles.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16) and GAAP principles.
- Proficiency in lease accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lucernex).
- Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Comfortable working in night shifts
