Java Full Stack Developer @ Grid Dynamics

Essential functions

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and enhance user interfaces using React or Angular

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using JSON/XML

• Design and manage complex data structures and data processing workflows

• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or similar

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Scrum teams

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning

• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects impacting application functionality

• Support the adoption of new technologies and contribute to architecture improvements

• Learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

• 3+ year of software development experience

• Experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot

• Basic experience in frontend development using React or Angular

• Working knowledge of REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML)

• Familiarity with relational databases

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

• Strong problem-solving skills with a growth and learning mindset

• Ability to work under guidance and ask thoughtful questions to improve solutions

Would be a plus

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Knowledge of test-driven development and automated test frameworks

• Experience in the payments or financial services industry

• Understanding of system scalability, security, and high-availability architectures

• Strong business awareness and ability to align technical solutions with business needs
