Job Description
Role Overview- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot, Java/J2EE).
- Create and optimize scalable, reliable, and efficient microservices architectures.
- Implement RESTful APIs and manage integrations with third-party services.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain microservices on GCP Cloud (Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, etc.).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Manage data storage with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud-native and distributed systems.
- Ensure application security, performance, and scalability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform unit and integration testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and CI/CD processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for seamless cloud deployments.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot framework.
- Solid expertise in designing and implementing microservices, including schema design, service orchestration, and scaling.
- Strong knowledge of REST API development, integration, and testing.
- 2+ years experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments, preferably GCP.
- Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) on GCP.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle).
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Certifications in GCP Cloud or Java development.
- Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, ELK).
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud deployments.
