Sr Data Engineer GCP
**Experience:**
5-8 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years specifically focused on GCP data Services .
**Location:**
Gurugram or Hyderabad
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data and analytics team.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in GCP data services , responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and
insightful data intensive solutions using GCP Cloud .
This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering, strong SQL skills, and
extensive experience with various GCP services like Bigquery , DataFlow , DataStream , Pub/Sub , Dataproc , Cloud Storage and
Key GCP Services for Data Pipeline Orchestration.
You will play a crucial role in building gco native cloud data platform.
**Responsibilities:**
Oversee and contribute to the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of applications on GCP, leveraging services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and more.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* 5-8 years of overall IT experience, with 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing data applications on GCP Cloud.
* Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services and architectures, including but not limited to:
Compute: Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, App Engine.
Storage & Databases: Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Cloud Spanner, Fire store, Bigtable.
Data & Analytics: Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Data Studio, Looker.
Operations & Monitoring: Google Cloud Operations Suite (Monitoring, Logging, Trace, Debugger, Error Reporting).
* Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions .
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience working in an Agile development methodology.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
**Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):**
* Experience with other Hyperscaler is a plus, demonstrating a broad understanding of data engineering.
* Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
