Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building models, configuring planning structures, integrating data, and supporting FP&A teams using Workday Adaptive Planning. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to design scalable planning solutions and improve financial planning processes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain driver-based financial, workforce, and operational planning models in Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Configure planning components: dimensions, levels, versions, modeled sheets, attributes, access rules, and security setups.
- Manage data integrations from ERP/HCM/HRIS or other source systems data imports, mapping, and validations.
- Build financial reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday Adaptive Planning and OfficeConnect.
- Support FP&A teams in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario planning, and reporting cycles.
- Conduct requirement workshops, translate business needs into technical configurations, and document solutions.
- Perform UAT, troubleshooting, enhancements, and post-implementation support.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Operations, IT) to optimize planning processes and automation.
- Provide end-user training and ensure adoption of planning models and reporting tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Workday Adaptive Planning / Adaptive Insights.
- Strong understanding of FP&A, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cost center planning.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Modeled sheets & planning templates
- Level/dimension design
- Access rules & security
- Data integration & validation
- Reporting & dashboards
- Excellent skills in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Ability to work with complex datasets and multi-level planning structures.
- Strong communication skills to interact with business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Adaptive Planning Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience working with Workday HCM or Workday Financials.
- Experience in consulting or working with global clients.
- Knowledge of ETL tools, APIs, or integration platforms.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA / CA / CMA is a plus.
