Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy optical networking solutions using Ciena's 6500 and 8700 series routers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to DWDM, fiber optics, and datacenter networks.
Develop expertise in OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) testing and fault location techniques.
Provide technical support for customers on existing infrastructure installations.

Desired Candidate Profile

4-9 years of experience in Optical Networking with a focus on Ciena equipment.
Strong understanding of DWDM technology and its applications in telecommunications networks.
Proficiency in working with fiber optics systems, including splicing, cleaving, and termination procedures.
Experience with datacenter networking protocols such as SONET/SDH or IP routing protocols like BGP/EIGRP/MPLS.
