Role Overview:
We are seeking a technically skilled Business Analyst to support the Zuora subscription billing and revenue application. This role focuses on application support, data analysis using SQL, troubleshooting APIs and system integrations, and resolving issues related to workflows, billing processes, and automation within Zuora.
The role involves close collaboration with finance, product management, and technology teams to investigate system behavior, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to ongoing improvements in the performance and reliability of the Zuora subscription billing and revenue application. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with stakeholders are essential for the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the Zuora subscription billing and revenue application by troubleshooting issues related to workflows, system integrations, APIs, and data processes.
- Investigate and resolve complex problems involving subscription management, billing cycles, payment processing, and revenue recognition.
- Analyze data discrepancies and system behavior using SQL queries and advanced Excel tools (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure smooth operational processes.
- Identify recurring issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend long-term process and system improvements.
- Assist in testing and validating configuration changes, releases, and system enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of troubleshooting steps, process workflows, known issues, and resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant technical support experience, preferably with Zuora or other similar subscription billing and financial systems.
- Familiarity with JSON for analyzing data structures and assisting in the identification and resolution of issues in workflow and API interactions.
- Experience troubleshooting issues related to APIs, workflow automation, and system integrations.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial operations such as invoicing, payments, credits, adjustments, and revenue recognition.
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formula-based data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex problems effectively.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed documentation and effectively communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as a part of a team.
