Job Description

Job Title: Java Test Automation

Experience: 5-8 Years
Location: Chennai, Pune, Kolkata

Mandatory (Primary) Skills:

• Java / Selenium / SQL / API Testing / GIT

Good To Have (Secondary) Skills:

• Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, batch, etc.)
• Non-Functional (Performance, Load, Scale) Testing

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and functional requirements to define automation testing strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Maven, and integrate with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Create and execute automated test cases for UI, API, and backend testing; ensure high test coverage.
• Perform regression, functional, and integration testing; troubleshoot automation failures and optimize scripts for stability and performance.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, Ops, and client teams to support Dev/QA/UAT activities and coordinate defect resolution.
• Manage version control using Git, including branching, merging, and repository management.
• Work in Agile environments using JIRA, Confluence, and Kanban boards.
• Validate data using SQL for relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Develop supporting scripts in Python, Bash, Perl, or Batch for automation tasks.
• Utilize API testing tools such as RestAssured or HTTP clients.
• Support release engineering, configuration management, and test environment setup.
• Optional: Experience with Appium, WinAppDriver, Katalon, LeanFT, cloud testing, and performance/load testing.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux (RHEL preferred), and Unix environments.
• Cloud or test automation certifications are a plus.

Key Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java and automation tools.
• Knowledge of BDD, XML, and scripting languages.
• Exposure to Agile development processes and cross-functional collaboration.
