    Job Description:

    Architectural and Strategic Leadership

    • Define Testing Architecture: Architect and drive the implementation of next-generation automation and performance testing frameworks, ensuring high scalability, robustness, and maintainability across all product lines.
    • Best Practices and Standards: Establish and enforce quality engineering best practices, coding standards, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines across the entire testing organization.
    • System Integration: Lead technical evaluations and integration of new testing tools and technologies to improve efficiency, coverage, and time-to-market.
    • Mentorship and Coaching: Act as a technical mentor and coach for Senior and Lead Engineers, raising the overall technical acumen and quality mindset of the team.

    Core Technical Focus Areas

    • Deep Expertise in Playwright: Own the design and implementation of robust, resilient end-to-end (E2E) automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript). Drive innovative solutions for testing complex, single-page applications (SPAs) and micro-frontend architectures.
    • Performance Engineering with k6: Establish and execute a comprehensive performance testing strategy. Design and run high-volume load, stress, and spike tests using k6 (or similar modern tools), analyze results, and partner with development teams to identify and resolve critical performance bottlenecks.
    • Quality Metrics & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, including defect trends, test execution time, and stability, creating automated dashboards for executive visibility.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Software Development and Quality Engineering roles, with at least 3 years operating at a Principal Engineer level.
    • Educational Background: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Automation Mastery: Expert-level, hands-on experience in building and scaling complex end-to-end automation frameworks, with deep practical knowledge of Playwright.
    • Performance Expertise: Proven track record of designing, scripting, and executing large-scale performance and load testing initiatives using k6 or equivalent modern tools (e.g., Gatling, JMeter).
    • Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in at least one modern language essential for automation (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java).
    • System Knowledge: Extensive experience with testing complex distributed systems, microservices, cloud environments
    • CI/CD: Expertise in integrating automation and performance tests into DevOps pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
