Job Description

Job Opening: Underwriter / Senior Underwriter US Mortgage (WFH)

Location: Work From Home
Experience: 3+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Review and underwrite US mortgage loan files end-to-end
Analyze borrower eligibility based on 4 Cs Credit, Capacity, Capital & Collateral
Review and validate credit reports, income, assets, and liabilities
Evaluate borrower documents as per FNMA / FHLMC guidelines
Review tax documents including 1040, W2, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, etc.
Ensure underwriting decisions meet quality, compliance, and turnaround standards
Maintain accuracy and consistency in underwriting judgments

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of US Mortgage Underwriting experience
Strong knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC guidelines
Sound understanding of 4C underwriting principles
Strong analytical, decision-making, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a WFH environment
