Job Description
Position: Automotive Product Design Engineer Trainee
Experience: 0-3 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient in CAD for both 3D and 2D designs.
- Advantageous to have experience in 2-Wheeler and 4-Wheeler design, including BIW, Exterior and interior trims, Lighting, Plastics/Sheet metal design.
- Apply GD&T principles effectively in technical drawings.
- A background in the automotive industry is essential. And
- Knowledge of common automotive manufacturing processes.
- Develop strong automotive product design capability using engineering fundamentals and industry-oriented methodologies.
Technical Focus:
Mechanical engineering fundamentals applied to automotive products
Vehicle architecture and subsystem understanding
Functional requirement analysis and design intent definition
Material selection based on strength, durability, weight, and manufacturability
Design for manufacturability and design for assembly principles
Design Knowledge:
Engineering drawings and technical specifications
Automotive design standards and regulatory awareness
Load paths, stress behavior, and failure modes
Quality, reliability, and product lifecycle considerations
Design Methodology:
Requirement analysis and problem definition
Concept to detailed design workflow
Engineering trade-off studies and optimization
Root cause analysis and structured problem solving

Eligibility Criteria: Fresh B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/M.E/M.Tech graduates in Mechanical/Automobile/Aero/Industrial/Production/Plastics. Also, candidates with Diploma/Post Diploma in Tool Design from institutions like CIPET/CTTC/NTTF are welcome
