Job Description
Key responsibilities
1. Technical Evaluation of Smart Devices
- Evaluate smart home products (Smart Plugs, VDPs, Hubs, Sensors, etc.) for electrical, mechanical and firmware compatibility.
- Review product specifications, SKD/CKD documentation, BOM structure, and component quality.
- Test incoming samples for performance, reliability, firmware stability, and assembly feasibility.
- Coordinate with engineering and R&D teams to ensure device compliance with internal standards.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors from India and China for IoT and electronic components.
- Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and warranty terms.
- Assess vendor manufacturing capability, SKD/CKD options, quality processes, and certification readiness.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs/ODM partners for long-term business.
3. Import, Costing & Logistics
- Calculate complete landing costs including EXW/FOB/CIF/DDP/DAP, customs duties, freight, GST, packaging, and last-mile delivery.
- Plan and monitor logistics: ETA, freight mode decisions (air/sea), shipment tracking, custom clearance, and documentation.
- Work closely with finance and warehouse for GRN, invoice clearance, and inventory alignment.
4. Purchase Order & Documentation Management
- Create and manage POs from requisition to final delivery, ensuring accuracy in cost, quantity, terms, and timelines.
- Maintain vendor master sheets, pricing logs, procurement dashboards, and sample testing trackers.
- Ensure all documentation is audit-ready: contracts, packing lists, invoices, test reports, compliance certificates.
5. Quality & Sample Testing Support
- Work with QC teams to inspect incoming materials, resolve non-conformities, and manage replacements/returns.
- Evaluate failure cases, coordinate corrective actions with vendors, and maintain quality benchmarks.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, IoT, or Supply Chain + strong technical exposure.
Experience
-1-5 years of experience in:
-Electronics procurement / technical sourcing / vendor management
-IOT hardware engineering with procurement exposure
Technical Skills
- Understanding of electronic components, PCB assemblies, firmware basics.
- Knowledge of SKD/CKD formats, product teardown, and device testing.
- Strong Excel skills for cost comparison, costing sheets, and vendor analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems for PO management.
- Knowledge of logistics Incoterms (DDP, DAP, FOB, CIF etc.)
- Ability to calculate landing costs accurately.

- Comfortable handling both technical testing and procurement paperwork.
