Software Test Analyst II(Investment Banking , Manual/Automation Testing)
About the role:
Career level role. As a part of testing team, individual need to test and implements solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Possesses knowledge in Investment Banking domain, specifically in Fund Accounting. Works on one or more projects as a team member. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Work towards identifying risks and develops mitigation strategies.

FIS Investment Accounting Manager provides a scalable and modular investment accounting system that supports an exhaustive range of investment types, asset classes and accounting methodologies. Deployed as a SaaS-based solution, Investment Accounting Manager empowers asset managers and fund administrators to quickly and cost-effectively integrate their core platform with other solutions as needed to support any new investment strategy. Development team works in Agile Scrum framework consisting of members from Testing, Development and Business Analyst groups. Scrum team is responsible for project development based on client and internal requirements with expected quality within strict timelines. Also, team is responsible for resolving client raised issues and provide resolution to them at the earliest opportunity available.
What you will be doing:
- The role involves functional testing, automation strategy, and performance validation, with exposure to AI-driven testing approaches considered a strong advantage. Candidate needs to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial systems that handle complex fund accounting workflows.
- Efficient functional testing of projects / client issues. Preparation of effective test plans, test strategies, involvement in project estimations. Creation of efficient testing approach, creation of automation scripts for project test cases. Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex fund accounting workflows.
- Deep knowledge of fund accounting principles is must.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements.
- Regression Testing on application to ensure that current changes are not impacting existing functionality.
- Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
- Controls and manages own daily test activities.
- Organizes and maintains the test script library.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you will need:
- Fund Accounting (Investment Banking) domain knowledge is must.
- Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing
- Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets needs of client/business partner.
- Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies
- Knowledge of functions, features and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications.
- Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs.
- Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving.
- Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
- Ability to deliver results under pressure.
- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, client representatives.
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience of Agile Scrum / Kanban will be an added advantage
- Fluent in English. Excellent communicator ability to discuss technical and functional solutions to various stakeholders including leadership, BAs, development group.
- Organized approach manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
- AI/ML Exposure Explore AI driven test optimization.
