About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Senior Java Developer (5+ years) with strong expertise in Java EE, Spring Framework and enterprise application migration. The primary responsibility is migrating legacy applications from Java 8 to Java 21, including refactoring Java EE code to Jakarta EE, updating libraries, and ensuring stability across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Migrate enterprise portals from Java 1.8 to Java 21
  
• Refactor Java EE applications to Jakarta EE
  
• Update dependency libraries & frameworks
  
• Work with JSP, Servlets, EJBs (WebLogic) and enterprise integrations
  
• Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions)
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; some codebase in German (German comprehension beneficial)

Preferred candidate profile

Experienced Java/J2EE developer skilled in Java 821 migration, Java EE/Jakarta EE refactoring, Spring, JSP/Servlets, EJB, and DevOps pipelines. Strong debugging and enterprise integration experience.
