Job Description
Job Role: Snowflake Architect
Experience: 5-10 years
Location: Pan India
Skills and Experience Required
- 5+ years of overall experience in architecting and building data and analytics solutions including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines and performance optimization.
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, data sharing and security best practices.
- Strong SQL skills for complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS services (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake, IAM, networking) for hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
- Expertise in implementing role-based access control, encryption, compliance standards and auditing within Snowflake and cloud environments.
- Ability to optimize compute/storage costs, manage workloads, and tune queries for high performance.
- SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect certification is a strong plus.
- Ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor teams and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experienced in working in a customer facing role
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture, document and summarize data, integration and analytics requirements for the Snowflake.
- Design optimized data models and schemas
- Integrate Snowflake with multiple data sources and platforms (onprem DBs, files, APIs, Azure/AWS services, Kafka/ETL tools) ensuring secure, reliable data ingestion and curation.
- Establish governance and security standardsRBAC, network policies, SSO/MFA, data classification, masking and secure data sharing across accounts/partners.
- Optimize performance and cost by tuning virtual warehouses, managing micropartitions/clustering, caching, query profiling and workload isolation for concurrency and throughput.
- Guide the technical team on architecture patterns and migration approaches (zerocopy cloning, Time Travel, Failsafe) and oversee implementation to production readiness.
- Conduct proofs of concept and create reusable accelerators and reference architectures.
- Guide technical team of deliverables and get the solution implemented
- Conduct proof of concepts and create differentiating assets
- Conduct training and workshops on new technologies and trends
