Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Develop automated test scripts for web and mobile APIs, UI, and backend systems.
- Identify test cases for automation and work on converting them from manual to automated.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing for new and complex product features.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track test coverage metrics.
- Log defects clearly and track them to closure using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Provide feedback on application usability, performance, and overall product quality.
Additional Qualification & Skills:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or Postman (for API testing).
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Hands on - version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Actions).
- Understanding of testing RESTful APIs and database validation using SQL.
- Hands on - working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Hands on - testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and Docker containers.
- Experience in automating business workflows or integration testing across systems.
