Job Description
Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance applications. The role involves working across front-end and back-end technologies, building APIs, and implementing cloud-native architectures using AWS best practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Experience
8+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on full-stack application development
Proven experience building scalable, distributed, and high-availability systems
Hands-on experience working in cloud-based environments, preferably AWS
Experience supporting production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
Key Responsibilities
Hands-on software development using Java, Spring Boot, Java/J2EE, Python, and JavaScript
Design and develop scalable full-stack applications, covering both front-end and back-end components
Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs for data acquisition, integration, and inter-system communication
Implement complex architectural solutions following AWS design principles, best practices, and industry standards
Build highly distributed and scalable systems capable of handling large transaction volumes
Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and adequate test coverage
Improve and automate applications, processes, and APIs for performance and scalability across on-premises and cloud environments
Provide production support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in full-stack development, APIs, data, and cloud platforms
Mandatory Skills
Java & Spring Boot (hands-on, production-level experience)
Full Stack Development (front-end and back-end)
REST API Development & Integration
AWS Cloud Services, including:
EC2
S3
Lambda
AWS Glue
Redshift
SQL & Relational Databases
DB2 (AIX) or equivalent enterprise RDBMS
AWS databases (Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL)
Scripting using Python and Shell scripting
Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and code quality practices
Production support experience, including monitoring and troubleshooting
Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Cursor)
Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with DevOps tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Familiarity with data analytics and ETL pipelines
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
