Job Description

Hiring QA Engineer- Kolkata

Experience- 3-5 years

Ker responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs
   
2. Write test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
   
3. Build or enhance automation frameworks with reusable components, reporting, and maintainability improvements
   
4. Perform API testing using Postman and automate API validations using Rest Assured or equivalent libraries
   
5. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and support stable execution with actionable reporting
   
6. Execute manual exploratory testing when required to complement automation and improve coverage
   
7. Log defects with clear steps, evidence, severity, and impact, and track them to closure
   
8. Collaborate with developers to debug issues, validate fixes, and prevent regressions
   
9. Maintain test documentation including test results, regression status, and automation coverage metrics
   
10. Support cross browser testing and assist with basic performance and security validations when needed
    

Use AI assisted QA tools to accelerate test case drafting, test data preparation, and faster defect triage while ensuring correctness

Mandatory skills:

1. 3 to 5 years of QA experience with strong focus on automation
   
2. Hands on experience with at least one automation tool
   Selenium or Playwright or Cypress
   
3. Strong programming skills in one language
   Java or JavaScript or TypeScript or Python
   
4. Solid API testing experience using Postman and API automation using Rest Assured or similar
   
5. Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile Scrum, and QA best practices
   
6. Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
   Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar
   
7. Strong defect reporting skills and ability to write clear test cases and scenarios
   
8. Good communication and collaboration skills
