Job Description of Role
The ideal candidate will provide leadership across three major functional teamsMedical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketingcomprising approximately 6-8 Salesforce developers. Responsibilities include implementing and managing a robust CI/CD pipeline, ensuring secure and efficient configuration and permission controls, enforcing coding standards, and maintaining overall platform hygiene.
Key to this role is establishing the right frameworks for release governance, DevOps guidelines, and onboarding processes for new developers. The ideal candidate will ensure that architecture decisions adhere to best practices and balance configuration vs. custom code strategies. Additionally, retrospectives will be conducted to continuously optimize processes and delivery cycles.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
Experience in DevOps lifecycle including build, deploy, release management, and monitoring.
Enforce access and security protocols, permission sets, and environment controls.
Define and enforce Salesforce development standards, architectural guidelines, and deployment workflows.
Work closely with App Team to manage code reviews, quality gates, and deployment plans using Copado and GitHub.
Work with Architect and product owner and take inputs from App teams to drive the continuous maturity of the DevOps for the platform.
Onboard new developers with clear guidance on access provisioning, dev standards, and team workflows.
Govern and guide developers through retrospectives and continuous improvement cycles.
This role is critical in creating a scalable and secure Salesforce development ecosystem that supports enterprise-grade delivery for commercial life sciences applications.

Expected Outcome
We are seeking a Senior SFDC DevOps Engineer, who will be responsible for driving and overseeing DevOps best practices across multiple Salesforce teams while ensuring streamlined deployment processes, secure environments, and consistent development standards. Establish DevOps pipelines, workflows, automation and Coding standard adherence automation. Support Quarterly platform release management.
Secondary Skills
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II or Application Architect certifications
Knowledge of other DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket
Exposure to Salesforce Veeva CRM or life sciences domain-specific deployments
Basic understanding of test automation frameworks for Salesforce
Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Apex
Salesforce DevOps processes using Copado, CI/CD Pipeline, GitHub
