JD: Electrical Engineer
Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in industrial automation and Control systems. The candidate should have advanced skills in PLC programming, VFD, Sensors, HMI and SCADA development, Control cabinet electrical design per UL 508A, Sizing of wiring & Breakers, Heat calculation of cabinet, VBScript, and electrical knowledge in motor starters and motor control stations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, program, and configure PLCs series to automate industrial processes efficiently and reliably.
- Develop HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems using industry-standard software.
- Control cabinet electrical design per UL 508A, Sizing of wiring & Breakers, Heat calculation of cabinet
- Strong knowledge in making electrical schematic using DraftSight / Solidwork Electrical.
- Create user-friendly interfaces for operators and engineers to monitor and control industrial processes.
- Utilize VBScript and other scripting languages to customize and optimize control systems for specific requirements.
- Apply extensive electrical knowledge to design and troubleshoot control systems including PID controllers, electrical schematics, motor starters, and motor control stations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create control system specifications, and ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues promptly to maintain system performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as Electrical Engineer in industrial automation.
- Expertise in PLC programming
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development using software.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including schematics, motor control, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, ProFiBus, ProFiNet, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control panel design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
