Job Details

- Testing Mix: 50% Automation + 50% Manual

Role Overview (Must Have)
We are looking for a highly experienced QA / V&V Test Engineer with strong expertise in API testing, Playwright automation, and manual testing. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure high-quality system-level testing.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and system testing
- Conduct API testing using Postman / SoapUI
- Validate end-to-end system functionality against requirements
- Conduct device-level and system-level testing
- Execute integration and formal system tests
Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Use Playwright for UI and system-level automation
- Select and integrate appropriate test tools and frameworks
- Maintain automation coverage aligned with manual test cases
Test Management & Reporting
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, procedures, and reports
- Track requirements to test cases using JIRA
- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with developers for resolution
- Prepare test status reports and present updates to stakeholders
- Maintain test requirements databases and metrics
Collaboration & Process
- Work closely with engineering leads from analysis and design phase
- Participate in root cause analysis and preventive actions
- Lead Test Readiness Reviews
- Interface with QA, hardware, software, and system engineering teams
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior test engineers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science / MCA or related field
- 510 years of hands-on experience in software/system testing
- Strong experience in:
- Functional Testing
- API Testing
- SQL & JavaScript
- Automation frameworks
- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail)
- Familiarity with C++, C#, Java, UNIX, TCP/IP is a plus
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- ISTQB Foundation Certification
- Experience with Transit / Transportation Systems (AFCS)
- Exposure to AI/ML-based solutions
