Troubleshooting various storage and backup issues on AWS Cloud
Monitor daily backup jobs and systems, troubleshoot/remediate failures, and escalate repeat failures to server support teams and/or appropriate suppliers.
Understand different levels of backups and how to handle database backups on AWS Cloud.
Collaborate with other team members on IT/Operations initiatives, including data center, network administration, Windows, Linux etc.
Roll out AWS backup service for new clients.
Work with various business and application teams to conduct disaster recovery validations and exercises.
Understand requirements, application architecture, and testing procedures to ensure seamless disaster recovery.
Leverage information from the requirements gathering phase and utilize past experience to conduct successful DR exercises.
Understand and configure VPC network, IAM role/policies, and AWS infrastructure based on established procedures.
Follow established ZS practices for Change Management
Preferred candidate profile:
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or related field, with a record of high academic achievement, Masters degree preferred
2-3 + years of experience with cloud administration, operations, & DR
Experience/Knowledge in AWS administration along with an AWS certification will be added advantage
In-depth understanding of storage services and DR practices, experience on AWS storage services shall be an added advantage
Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EMR, CloudFront, etc.)
Good knowledge of database technologies like Aurora, Redshift, DynamoDB, & SQL.
Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools like JetBrains TeamCity, SVN, Bitbucket, etc.
Basic knowledge of working with AWS workspaces and AWS Systems Manager.
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system administration.
Basic exposure on using Terraform modules
