Ensure correct DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) assignment for inpatient cases.
Review medical records for completeness and query physicians for clarification when needed.
Enter coded data into hospital information systems while maintaining confidentiality.
Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks set by the organization.
Participate in coding audits and implement corrective actions as required.
Stay updated with changes in ICD, CPT, and DRG guidelines through continuous learning.
Collaborate with physicians, billing teams, and auditors to resolve coding-related issues.
Preferred candidate profile
1+ yrs of experience in IPDRG.
Location: Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Trichy.
Certification: Any certification prefrred.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and DRG coding guidelines.
Familiarity with inpatient coding and hospital billing processes.
Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Proficiency in hospital information systems and coding software.
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
